1.If you are trying to restore VMs (or physical machines) and it shows the trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed, I won’t recommend using rejoin domain to solve issues, because it will happen unexpected issues after disjoin and rejoin domain. To ensure the computer created the computer object as expected, let’s open Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) to confirm. When a computer is added to a domain, it creates a computer object. What happens when a computer is added to a domain? Type the credentials of a domain user and click OK. Select Domain, type the domain name of the AD server you want to join and click OK. Under the Computer Name tab, click on the Change… button. Type sysdm.cpl and hit Enter to launch System Properties. Click OK in the System Properties window. If you’re prompted to verify your account, enter your domain’s admin username and password, and click OK. Click the text field here, and enter the server domain you want to join. Type the domain address into the text field below the Domain option. Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click Change settings. Navigate to System and Security, and then click System. To join a computer to a domain On the Start screen, type Control Panel, and then press ENTER.
